Tina was born in late 1939. She is an American. She is a renowned dancer, singer and entertainer. Turner, an African-American of European decent is the daughter of Richard Bullock and Zelma. Her wonderful performances and powerful concerts have earned her the “Queen of Rock and Roll” title.
Ike and Annie Turner who later got married began appearing in top charts in the 60s specializing in soul and rock. The couple made numerous performances in both the United States and the United Kingdom from late 50s. Tina and Ike gained greater popularity in 1970 with their number one hit, “Proud Mary.”
In 1976, Tina and Ike separated amid accusations of drug and physical abuse on Ike’s end. Tina produced her first solo album the “Private Dancer” in 1984 whose best hit won the year’s Grammy Awards. Tina currently has a total of eight Grammy Awards as well as numerous other awards.

Tina stands to be the world’s most popular rock queen having achieved record sales close to two hundred million copies. She has also exceeded historic records in ticket sales for solo performances. Apart from Soul, Turner also does Rhythm and Blues.
Tina has continuously endeavored to reach out to the world through entertainment tours. Eight years after the launch of her worldwide tour in 2000, Tina has yet again hit the highest mark in ticket sales with a similar world tour.
